The Kethos Project

The Kethos Project originally started in 1998 as a homebrew campaign setting for a large group of dedicated gamers in Austin, TX. Over the years the setting grew and developed under heavy use, and in 2020 the primary writer and GM decided it was worth sharing with the outside world. With the support of friends, industry insiders, and a lot of work by a group of artists from around the world, Kethos Book 1: The Continent of Faradath was released in 2020. It was a bumpy start, with a lot of learning by doing, but well worth the trip. Kethos Project products focus heavily on the excellent Savage Worlds RPG, though side projects related to Mongoose Traveller, 5e/OGL, and other lesser known game systems do appear from time to time.

Andrew Benton

Andrew Benton started gaming back in the Before Tymes in… 1979 or 1980ish. He still has his blue plastic dice from the 1981 red box Basic D&D set, and has been playing and GM’ing pretty regularly since then. He is a fan of both the fantasy and science fiction genres, though he tends to read a lot more SF and play a lot more fantasy. Andrew has degrees in International Studies and in Japanese Studies (History), which he actually found a use for in his day job. He used to do both Amtgard and SCA, and is a regular attendee of whatever Renaissance Fairs are available. He has done technical support, was in the Texas State Guard for ten years, and most importantly, has been a high school history teacher since 2006. Andrew currently resides in the Austin, TX metro area with at least one cat.
